Sprint Digital Creative Residency

Sprint is a digital intervention and an open experiment. This pilot residency programme has been designed to explore how digital processes and techniques can create disruptive innovation and creative outputs within Rambert, Britain’s national dance company.

Sprint aims to foster new relationships between Rambert’s dance practitioners and digital creatives, facilitate experimentation and exchange of knowledge, and open up the organisation to new approaches using technology.

Alpha-ville was invited by Google to bring digital art to the Google IO Extended event that took place at XOYO London. Google IO is a developer conference, and the London Extended events were organised by 3Beards and Wonder.

Alpha-ville at A&B Awards presenting Alba Corral

For the occasion of the 35th Arts and Business Awards, Alpha-ville provided a series of visual elements for the iconic awards ceremony that took place on 21 May at London’s BFI Southbank. For this special event, we worked with Barcelona based artist Alba G.Corral who creates stunning software art using processing and digital drawing techniques. Alba created a beautiful digital painting to accompany the music performance by jazz quartet BrassJaw.

Alpha-ville created a special 3D logo ident for the Arts & Business 35 Years Awards. The Arts & Business Awards in partnership with Jaguar Land Rover celebrated six of the very best arts and business collaborations at a special anniversary awards ceremony held at London’s BFI Southbank.

On 17 January, Alpha-ville EXCHANGE took over the fourth floor of London’s Rich Mix. Attracting a diverse range of artistic practitioners and creative professionals, EXCHANGE was presented as an evolution of the 2011 Alpha-ville Festival which offered a unique space for artist to present their work and inspiration and for everyone in the room to explore collaboration and shared interests across disciplines. Alpha-ville Live at BFI

Alpha-ville teamed up with BFI Southbank Sonic Cinema to present the UK premiere of Ryoichi Kurokawa’s audiovisual concert Syn_.

The event was held on 26th September as part of the BFI Sonic Cinema series and was Ryoichi’s first visit to the UK since 2010. A sold out NFT 1 opened its doors to a mind blowing 45 minute performance that exceeded expectations due to the exceptionally high quality of the sound and visual show.

Sedition Programme Curated by Alpha-ville

Alpha-ville curates a collection of artworks by associated artists for the Sedition online platform. The artworks are sold as limited editions for digital devices.

Artists include: Ryoichi Kurokawa, FIELD, Mark Dorf, Herman Kolgen, LIA, Alba G Corral, Onformative, Zeitguised, Zimoun, Sougwen Chung and Mark Amerika.

Alpha-ville also released a dedicated collection of 11 limited edition artworks for its New Realities exhibition.
