[Simon Geilfus (BE) Live Visuals & Software Development]
Simon is a graphic designer and software developer part of the visual label AntiVJ. His work brings together elements from different artistic practices including visual art, interactive design and generative art. Simon lectures at Brussels’s National School of Visual Arts and regularly teaches the art of creative coding in cultural events and festivals around Europe.
AntiVJ is a visual label, founded by a group of Europe-based artists whose work is focused on the use of projected light and its influence on perception. Clearly stepping away from standard set-ups and techniques, AntiVJ present live performances and installations that challenge the senses.
Their creative method involves stereoscopy, holographic illusions and projection mapping, which is the practice of sculpting video content to match the surface geometry it’s being projected on, that has been recently attracting a lot of attention.
