ALPHA-VILLE 2011 PROGRAMME: The Eagleman Stag
Time: 4pm
the Eagleman Stag | Michael Please | 2010 | 08:55 minutes
synopsis: Peter’s life has been spent in both fascination and fear of his quickening perception of time with age. As he nears the end of his days, his interest turns to obsession and he undertakes progressively extreme measures to control and counter times increasing pace. Peter also discovers that if you repeat the word ‘fly’ for long enough it sounds like you’re saying ‘life’. This is of no real help to him. His answers lie in the brain of a beetle.
bio: Following a BA in Special Effects at UAL Mikey went on to direct animation commissions for Virgin, Transgressive Records, Rough Trade, Ninja Tune and Universal Records before doing an MA in Direction for Animation at the Royal College of Art. He is now represented commercially by Agile Films, Independent Talent and developing long form projects with Warp Films for 2012.
